Following First Minister Carwyn Jones's announcement at Monday's International Development Summit, we are excited to confirm that in October the Wales for Africa programme will be visited by Nobel Peace Laureate, Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu - one of the greatest living moral icons of our time and a key player in the fight against apartheid in South Africa.

On Wednesday 24th October 2012, Desmond Tutu will be the guest of honour at an evening reception and prestigious dinner at City Hall, Cardiff, in aid of Undeb Africa , three Wales-based charities who are supported by WCVA's Wales Africa Community Links: Positive Women (partnered with Swaziland), African Mothers Foundation International (partnered with Zimbabwe) and New Direction for Congo (with DRC). The event organisation has been made possible through generous pro bono support from leading Public Affairs and Communications Agency Positif Politics.
WCVA have been offered some reserved tables for voluntary and international sector partners:
· Corporate/Community Group Tables (seating 10, with a prime position) are available NOW at £950 and £750. Groups and individuals can club together
· Limited individual tickets for the dinner will go on sale in early October at £75 each, and are expected to be in high demand.
Subject to demand and availability we have agreed with the organisers that up to 5 tables of tickets will be available for supporters to book through Wales Africa Community Links, these will be available for online booking only, by credit / debit card or online transfer.
