Community links are voluntary groups working together in partnership between Wales and Africa – through exchanges, learning and sharing – to broaden horizons, friendships and to improve each others communities. Wales Africa Community Links is a movement for change – involving Welsh civil society and local people in ‘making poverty history’ through inspiring, practical action.
From building understanding through global learning, to community projects that contribute towards the UN Millennium Development Goals for poverty reduction, community links can change lives, with benefits to communities both north and south. Read more highlights of some of the community links and projects we support.
Wales Africa Community Links is managed by WCVA and funded by the Welsh Assembly Government’s Wales for Africa scheme. Our good practise framework, the UN Gold Star Award, is endorsed by the United Nations.
